Born in Manchester of Scottish parents. (Father Fyfe Robertson, of BBC renown, mother Elizabeth Muir.) She has one sister, Grace Robertson OBE, a photographer. |

Elizabeth was educated in Surrey, studied singing at The Royal College of Music, and studied opera and German lieder with Erich Werba at The Vienna School of Music. |
She married Richard Lewis CBE in 1963 and had one son Nigel Lewis a
journalist and editor. She has a stepson Michael Lewis, a London piano
technician. |

In 2000 she married Terry Pridmore, a business executive based in USA. |

She runs, with her husband, a national
speaking/lecture agency (Easy Speak,
www.easy-speak.com ) sending top speakers to lunch and dinner clubs all
over the UK. Recently Elizabeth joined the committee of The Friends of the Towner as publicity officer and events organiser for music. In 2006 she joined the Worshipful Company of Musicians and in 2007 she was given the Freedom of the City of London. In 2007 she was honoured with an Hon ARAM for her work with the Academy.
